Scrutinizing the impact of chat GPT on students' learning process: case of second year EFL master students at the University Centre of Naama
(centre universitaire Salhi Ahmed Naama, 2024) HARB Bouchra; ABDELHADI Amina
Earlier, many researchers relied on traditional methods to perform their researches mainly through the use of libraries, paper references, scientific journals or direct interviews with experts in the field being researched and collecting information from them. These methods often required time and more efforts. In contrast, today’s generation especially students at universities depend more on advanced technologies and digital tools, they relied mostly on AI applications and online databases to perform the majority of their tasks. Accordingly, the aim of this study is to scrutinize the effects of the innovative application Chat GPT on EFL learners’ learning process. To approach this topic, a descriptive analytical approach was adopted. In order to perform this research, a questionnaire was distributed among twenty second-year students and an interview was scheduled with eight teachers from the English department, University Center of Naama. The obtained findings have revealed that Chat GPT application has a noticeable impact on students’ learning process.
